PPLHK’s Mangrove Adventure offers Tanjung Piayu mangrove tunnels cruise which are very personal and informative for both the amateur and professional visitors all of our tours are a minimum of 3 hours to allow us time to get to the "special" places.
The traditional boat called as “Pancung “is around 5 - 6 metres long with an open top and very comfortable for sightseeing or watching. Many people feel that 3 hours is still not enough time and will extend the length of their tour or book a combination Tour which combines a Morning Tour or Day Tour with the Evening Tour.
Trip Description
Guests are transported to Tanjung Piayu in a clean, well maintained, air conditioned van or minibus. Trained tour guides escort each van/minibus describing points of interest with discussion of the ecology of the mangrove and historical points of interest along the way. Guests are then escorted to the dock and assisted into the waiting “ Pancung “ . Once everyone is safely seated in the “ Pancung “, they will be taken through Tanjung Piayu Mangrove Forrest and through the mangrove tunnel. During the tour of the mangroves, information about the ecology of the mangroves and local marine life is provided. Next is a stop for photos and watching mangrove wildlife through forested areas where a variety of mangroves, tropical vegetation, and marine life can be seen. Guests are then transported back to their point of origin.
